NAFL Key Dates



Inaugural season will begin May 23rd, end with Championship Week on weekend of July 16th

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – October 1, 2014 – The North American Football League has finalized some key dates as it prepares for its inaugural season in 2016.

The first NAFL regular-season weekend will be May 21 - 22. Each team will play six games – a home-and-home series within its own conference. The NAFL Championship Week will take place July 11 - 15, with the championship game and all-star game taking place the weekend of July 16 - 17 .

The NFC will consist of the Columbus (Ohio) Flight, (Hartford) Connecticut Colonials, (Louisville) Kentucky Thoroughbreds and (Richmond) Virginia Crusaders.

The AFC will have the Birmingham (Alabama) Freedom, Memphis (Tennessee) Kings, (Raleigh-Durham) North Carolina Redwolves and Orlando (Florida) Sentinels.

January 25th - Head Coaches Meeting - Mobile, AL (@ Senior Bowl)
March 18th - Team Coaches Meetings (Nashville, TN)
March 19th – NAFL Draft Combine (Nashville, TN)
March 21st - March 25th – League/Team Conferences (Nashville, TN)
March 26th – NAFL Draft (Nashville, TN)
April 19th - Players Report to Training Camp
April 20th – April 21st Player Physicals/Player Orientation
April 22nd - April 24th - Player Mini-Camps
May 7th - Team Inter-Squad Game/ Fan Day
May 13th – Team Scrimmages/ Pre-Season Game
May 15th – Training Camp Ends
May 16th – Regular Season Starts
May 21st - Regular Season Game 1
June 25th – Regular Season Ends
July 9th - Conference Championship Games
July 4th – League Bye Week
July 16th - Championship Game
July 17th - All-Star game
